DIS/HLA

The Distributed Interactive Simulation protocol allows multiple cockpits to participate in the same simulation. SIMVISION team has upgraded this capability to use High Level Architecture (HLA) protocol, which allows a wide variety of simulators for similar or different aircraft types to participate in the same simulation, thus more closely approximating tactical combat conditions.

Using distributed interactive simulation (DIS) technology and an asynchronous transfer mode provider for connectivity, the simulators are networked through both local and wide area networks to permit two-ship (or more tactics) development, tactics training and mission rehearsal. This extended network has the capability to be interfaced with other air, land and sea system simulator networks. The SIMVISION team offers the widest selection of visual products delivering state-of-the-art-training solutions that ensure highest state of readiness for the modern (combat jet) pilots. The SIMVISION team’s visual systems are recognized as the benchmark for the most demanding of (combat) training applications where visual fidelity is paramount.

The emergence of simulator networking through distributed interactive simulation (DIS) and the high level architecture (HLA) is another significant advance in simulation. It enables the interaction in real time of a number of distributed simulation facilities that enables multiple participants in a simulated scenario. This enhances the value of training simulators for tactical training, mission rehearsal and doctrine development.
